Gustavo Fernández (Bio)
A conceptual Arte Povera artist that proposes visions stripped of the academic traditions but soaked in the magical atmosphere of Latin America. He tackles universal issues like love, life and death, religion and myths, through the use of simple materials such as strips of leather, bone, clay, straw or remains of very old worn out objects. Gustavo Fernández’s work is not only creative and forceful but also exquisitely composed and harmonious.
